I read this book when it was first published ten years ago and have gotten around to reading it again! The evidence is all P&G but the thinking and approach applies to any business in any sector –
– Are you ‘playing to play’ or ‘playing to win’?
– Strategy is around choices – what you choose to do and not to do!
– Is the entire business aligned to the aspiration?
– Does the capability exist in the business to deliver what is agreed?
….and much more!
I work in marketing strategy and the execution of it across a number of businesses, of different sizes and in many sectors, and it is good practice to re-read, re-fresh and challenge your thinking (always!)
